System requirements PC-version CoD WaW
On August - 17 - 2008
Treyarch has released the list of system requirements for the PC-version of Call of Duty: World at War which is currently still in development. Even with a very old PC you should be able to play Activision’s new Call of Duty games without having too much trouble.

will cod waw work on a pentium 4 2.4 ghz?
lol no u need 3.0 and the pentim
Israel just over clock it to 3.0ghz (if you have a overclockable motherboard) if not spend 100$ to 200$ on a Core 2 Duo E6850 Great proccessor.
will cod waw work on a 32 bit os?
Yes it will work on 32 bit OS, and you may be able to get around the 3.0 ghz Minimum. I ran COD4 on a 1.8 ghz Pentium 4 with 1.5 gig Ram and an ATI X1600 Pro. and it ran fine.
Will CoD WAW work with XP.
will cod waw work with a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE?
yes
Will cod Waw work on a 4 year old dell windows xp computer

Thanks. Michael.
I can play the game on high setting with a bit of lag and med settings with vitually no lag.
I have one problem…. and its making me mad… when i try to load a single player mission (solo) it takes like 5 mins before it goes into the cinematics.
my system specs are as follows:
Processor: Pentium 4 2.8 ghz
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT overclocked.
Ram: 2GB of DDR2 memory.
i have checked the hard drive and have plenty of memory there, but when i want to play single player it freezes for like five minutes and then the cinematics play. everything else runs just fine.
if any of you computer tech geeks out there can solve my problem i would really appreciate it!
thanks in advance

I forgot to mention in my last post that the game loads the cinematics slowly, then after it loads the game slowly, but here is the thing, if I load a game on Co-op, it loads in like 15 seconds, sometimes not even.
thanks in advance

nvida geforce 7300 le 256 mb
your cutting it close… really close…
By the way for all of you who have been having the really long load times on singleplayer I was fooling around in the game files and fixed it!!!
OK. What you need to do (I have XP so I don’t know how to do it on Vista) is right click on the singleplayer icon on your desktop and hit PROPERTIES. The little pop-up will come up and you should see a button that says FIND TARGET. Click it. Now a window with a whole bunch of files will come up. Click on the file titled MAIN. Then you will see a file that says VIDEO. Open up video and take all the files out of it and put em in a new folder on your desktop (or store em in a place where they are not in the way). Now start up your singleplayer. It will go to the black screen as usual. This is normal. When the black screen comes up wait like 5 seconds and then click your left mouse button. The screen will come up. Then you can start your singleplayer campain. It will do the black screen thing for the campain again and wait like 10-30 seconds and click your mouse button (the first mission you need to do this twice because there was and opening video.) That’s all there is to it! It should work now!
**For those of you that are sceptical and want to know exactly what I just put down, the reason the game was loading up slow is because some people’s processors can’t run the videos that the game came with, so what we did was we basically took them out!**
Thanks so much, I’ll kind of miss those videos though.. That’s like taking away the story line :/
Will a GeForce 7200GS 256MB video card work

will cod WaW work on a 6150 SE geforce graphics card????
To all of you who obviously have the system specs to run the game and are here asking if your system will play the game i say to you ” get a ****ing life “. Nobody here cares about your SLI Duel video cards or 8 gigs of ram or Raptor hard drives. Go post somewhere else and leave the forum to people with REAL questions about their older systems or graphics cards. No one responds to your stupid posts. Might as well not even exist…..
Hey will this computer run the game its slightly under in some areas
Intel core 2 duo CPU 2.20GHz
around 1GB RAM
Radeon x1550 series
If you want to know if your pc can play CoD WaW or want to know what you need to play it go here http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
For single player, mine doesn’t freeze at all, it just doesn’t load at all. I’m not sure if I should leave it for 5 minutes like some of you are doing or what. I’m thinking about what Jeff5894 said and taking out all the videos but ehhh, that’s the story line….so I’ll probably leave it for a couple minutes, but if it doesn’t freeze is that a good or bad thing? Because it’s just not loading up right away or freezing, like some of yours are. (My comp. can run CoD4 on high settings and can run virtually anything so I’m pretty sure it can handle CoDWaW)
Hey guys i was wondering like i keep getting the black screen on load up and i have done everything the Callofduty.com told me and i still get the black screen… and my comp is up to specs but i dont know if my Radeon X800 is good enough
Any words?
World at War runs perfectly on my system .. Zero LAG and haven’t even bought my appropriate v.card yet ..
Phenom 9950 X4 (overclocked to safe 2.75GHZ)
4Gb Dual Channel DDR2
HD2600 PRO 512
160 GB (old ide interface) hardrive
lol u all pc nerds!!!! wtf is half this shit written on this page!?!?!?!?!? lol WAW newbie well said
I have the 6150 le card. I can play the game, but the lag is so bad it’s no fun. Can anyone help me?
What some of must realize that if you anly have 512 gb of mem yur PC takes some of that so , Chances are it wont play COD WAW Im a PC biulder so Im one of the lucky ones who always have the newest parts!
Check yur system here > http://www.yougamers.com/gameometer/10282/?start=true
And here is the Minimum system requirements:
>Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz /
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
>Display/Video Card!: NVIDIA Geforce 6600 GT 256MB /
ATI Radeon X1600 XT 256MB
>Memory: 1024MB
>Free Disk Space: 8GB
>Operating System: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista
HOPE THIS HELPS THIS WILL CHECK ALL GAMES
And yet the TOOLS keep posting. Are you really trying to justify why you spent thousands on your PC. An escort would have been a better choice, seeing the amount you spend on your PC’s are not even 1/4 of whats required for Call of Duty. NEWS FLASH. The type of case you own? Not going to make a shit of difference. “Yeah well the air flow for my case can cause load and GPU temps…..” YADA YADA YADA. Once again, go jerk off looking at your shiny neon ridden PC and leave the forum to people with real issues.
