During the Canadian X08 event an Activision PR rep said that Call of Duty: World at War will be heading to the PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and PSP in November of this year. Almost every other Call of Duty game came out in November so this isn’t anything new for us.
Thanks to the Leipzig Games Convention we have more new footage of Call of Duty: World at War from Treyarch. This time we get to see some flaming flamethrower action and some of the tropic bunkers hidden in this game.
Right now gamers are shooting their ass off at the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany with a playable demo of Call of Duty: World at War. We’re missing out on the fun, but luckily GameTrailers was so kind to upload some footage of the game. The footage is a bit shaky and of low quality, but it’s extremely tense and very promising.
Treyarch has released the list of system requirements for the PC-version of Call of Duty: World at War which is currently still in development. Even with a very old PC you should be able to play Activision’s new Call of Duty games without having too much trouble.
Call of Duty: World at War isn’t out yet, but Activision is already making plans for the sequel on the fifth CoD game. The sixth part in the Call of Duty gameseries will be developed by Infinity Ward. It’s not sure if they will use the Call of Duty 4 engine for their new Call of Duty game. The setting of Call of Duty 6 hasn’t been announced yet either.
Nintendo showed off quite a lot of footage of the Wii-version of Call of Duty: World at War. In the gameplay trailer shown during their press conference we saw a lot of flamethrower action, Wii Zapper-gameplay and some shots of the co-op mode.
During its press conference Activision has released more information on its upcoming FPS-game Call of Duty: World at War. The most important news is that Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer from the popular 24 series, will be one of the voice actors for the game. They also announced two new weapons, namelijk the bazooka, the flamethrower and the firetank. They’re very destructive, but they can also destroy yourself. Through co-op mode you’ll be competing one-versus-one and iwth up to four people online.
Treyarch has just made our day by releasing four new screenshots of Call of Duty: World at War. The screenshots probably come from the Xbox 360-, PS3- and PC-version of the game. Wii-, PS2- and Nintendo DS-screenshots haven’t been released yet.
