It’s always nice to start the day with some fresh news from the Call of Duty: World at War front! Activision announced that the first trailer of the game will be released on June 21 exclusively on Xbox Live. But off course the trailer will also be uploaded on the internet for those who aren’t lucky enough to watch it on the Xbox 360’s online service.
Today a few possible possible boxarts for Call of Duty: World at War leaked. It’s not clear if one of these boxarts will ever make it to the final product, but it’s still a bit early to be picking a boxart. Anyhow, we would certainly like to see one of these packshots as the final boxart!
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, probably the best game of 2007, is getting a new sequel this fall!. The Official Xbox Magazine had a first look at Call of Duty 5 and discovered that the full name of the game is Call of Duty: World at War. The game takes place in Germany, Russia and Asia. The story starts at the Pacific and then switches to the march of Russia and Germany. The AI of the Japanese soldiers is different than the AI used with the European soldiers. Japanese soldiers will climb in trees and are a lot sneakier than their European enemies. The game will featre a coopmode for up to four players. The game is coming out this fall for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PC, Nintendo DS, Wii and Xbox 360.
Although Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is still kicking ass online, more and more rumors are coming our way saying that Call of Duty 5 is coming earlier than we would expect. Activision still hasn’t confirmed who the developer of this fifth game will be, but we still think that Treyarch will be getting the honor to develop CoD 5 as well. Today Activision confirmed that Call of Duty 5 will be coming out this fall.
There’s not much we know about Call of Duty 5 yet, but there’s more and more rumors coming our way! Activision hasn’t confirmed that Treyarch will be developing the fifth part of this serie as well, but some sources report that Treyarch defintely is the developer of CoD 5. The game takes place in the Pacific, but Activision wanted to return to WO II in this one. The game will be developed with the same engine from Call of Duty 4 and the upcoming game James Bond: Quantum of Solace. If all goes well we should be receiving the first footage soon…
